I want to connect the Dayton BST 300EX and AuraSound AST-2B-4 with one amplifier but I don't know which one I should get.

I did a google search, and this came up :

To drive the Dayton Audio BST-300EX (300W RMS, 4 Ohm) and AuraSound AST-2B-4 (50W RMS, 4 Ohm) effectively, you need a high-power Class D amplifier , ideally with built-in low-pass filtering. Because these units have different power ratings, they should ideally be driven on separate channels or with care to not overpower the smaller AuraSound unit.

Here are the best amplifier options based on power needs and compatibility:

  1. High-Powered Mono Subwoofer Amplifiers (Best for 300EX)
  • Nobsound G2 PRO (300W TPA3255): A very popular choice for the BST-300EX. It is a Class D mono amplifier that can provide the necessary power to make the 300EX shine.
  • Dayton Audio BSA-200: Designed specifically for bass shakers, offering enough power and a built-in low-pass filter (crucial for keeping frequencies below 80Hz).
  1. Powerful Stereo/Bridgeable Amplifiers (For Driving Both)
  • Fosi Audio BT30D Pro: A great versatile choice that can drive the 300EX comfortably with its high-power capability (often paired with 32V or 48V power supplies).
  • Dayton Audio APA150: A robust Class AB amplifier that can be bridged for higher power output to drive one or both shakers.
Key Considerations for Setup

  • Impedance Compatibility: Both units are 4 Ohms. Ensure your amplifier is stable at 4 Ohms (or 2 Ohms if wiring in parallel).
  • Power Differences: The BST-300EX requires significantly more power (300W) than the AST-2B-4 (50W). To avoid damage, do not run them on the same channel unless you know how to balance the load, or preferably, use a 2-channel amp and set the volume for each shaker separately.
  • Low-Pass Filter: Ensure the amplifier has a low-pass filter set to roughly 80Hz or lower to avoid hearing high-frequency noises from the shakers.
  • Wiring: Use 12-14 gauge speaker wire for the best performance
I own the Fosi ZA3, it can drive the 300EX in mono, which means, I can't use both. Dayton BST 300EX and AuraSound AST-2B-4, with the same amp.

Could anyone help, please ?

Those things are basically sub woofers.

You could try using one stereo amplifier (eg, the APA150). One channel for the BSTes and the other for the ASTes. This should alllow using channel balance control to balance power/sound volume between the differing driver types.

You could try that & see what happens.

BTW, arnt the power ratings for speakers maximum peaks, not sustained? No way you're gonna put 300 watts sustained into a speaker coil. It would glow cherrry red in amatter of seconds. Put your hand on a running 300 watt light bulb to feel what Im saying.
