I need a recommendation for a mobo for my XP3000+ and 1GB PC3200 RAM. Which mobo has the best bang for the buck?

Are there any good ones with SATA and IDE onboard?

Well fastest and best bang for your bug usually do not go hand in hand.

The fastest DFI LanParty OR DFI Ultra Infinity

Best Bang for buck: NF7-S V2.0

There is really no reason to get an AXP based system now though. I would just sell that chip and get a A64 system.

I have an Abit NF7-S v2 (not to be confused with NF7-S2), and am very happy with the performance and stability. With that said, it's getting replaced with an Athlon X2-based system in the near future, but it has served me well for over a year, and I am confident that it will continue to serve my parents well for a few more years to come.

yeah the dfi board sells for a lot more than the nF7, if your staying with the athlon, get the nf7-s, i have 2 along with the asus board and a gigabyte and its no comparison

the other variants, the s2, and sg were done with cheaper components and less options in the bios, the very reasons that make the NF7 the monster NF2 board that it is, avoid them, the resale value of the nF7-s isn't that great, you should be able to pick up one for fairly cheap
