I've got a new nForce2 mobo and 2 matching sticks of PC2700 DDR. I can't afford a Barton right now, but I'd like a low-cost cpu that will run atleast 166FSB to take advantage of the DDR. I've been reading all the raves about the 1700+"T-bred B" chips, but I was wondering about all the 1800-2100 T-breds I've seen for sale out there. Is it fair to say that any of the T-Bred chips ("A" or "B") will do 166FSB on decent air-cooling safely?

It is the rare CPU that won't if all the 1000's of posts I've skimmed over and my persoanl experience are any indication, particularly since you can adjust the multi with most NF2 boards with the T-Bred and Barton.

I would probably go with a 2100+ Tbred B if possible. They seem to be the best overclockers using air right now and the price isn't bad at all at $76 on Newegg.

Thanks very much for the reply. Yes, I think the 2100+ is the way to go too. Maybe one day I can grab a Barton :D
