which amd to buy?

i have an intel p3 700@1085 now,i am interested in building an amd setup.i here things about blue and green cores etc.i don't know
what to get?800-900-1000,t-bird,athalon etc.i will be looking to o.c.
can anyone help!!!!thanks a lot.also will a waterblock for an intel work on an amd?

all depends on what you want to spend..the lower clocked chips are generally more overclocking friendly. don't worry about the core color. Just figure out what you want to spend and the buy the chip in that price range.

1Gig T-Bird and above are copper inter-connects...don't go bye the blue, green, core etc., (also don't get the 1.1gig...poor reported O/C), 1.0 and 1.2 are OK,

and everything below 1gig is alum inter-connects and usually overclock 100-200.., a 1gig@ $170 is a great choice and will O/C to 1.1..maybe 1.2

(the color core thing was all about copper inter-connects anyway, only way to be sure is 1gig and up )

ABIT KT7(Raid), Asus A7V, Epox 8KTA+(2), IWILL KV200 are all good O/C motherboards.....
