I'm looking to get a AMD DDR board. I was wondering which ones you guys recommend.
I'm mainly looking for overclocking, the A7M266 doesn't support multipler? RAID is not an issue.
Don't really care for onboard sound/video. Good performance and stable.

Only DDR board i have seen myself upclose is the Microstar MS-6380 or KT266 Pro.

mind you, it's only a reg. KT266 not an A model, but it's a great performing board from what I have seen and it's a good price!

some other good recommendations around the forum are: EpoX 8K7A and 8K7A+ and Gigabyte GA-7DX and 7DXR.

I would just wait 2-3 weeks. The KT266a boards will be here by then and outside of the Nforce, none of these boards will be able to compete. I would just hold off, cause they are right around the corner.

How about the Abit KG7 .. IMO an excellent AMD DDR Mobo!

Great overclocking board with easy to use softmenu III bios adjustments

Stable as heck (I'm running Athlon 1.4 at 1.6 and it is rock solid)

It is a little more expensive then the Epox 8K7A
(which btw the Epox is an excellent choice too!) but with the Epox you will need to adjust jumpers settings on the board itself... I like the Abit because all the OC'g settings are done in BIOS with software SoftmenuIII.

Right now I'm running the Shuttle AK31 rev2, and I love it to death. Best mb I've had in the 12 or so years I've been building pc's. Stable as hell, and oc's very well. http://www.spacewalker.com/english/mainboard_detail_info.asp?number=150

But Classy has very good advice. The KT266a is a real improvement, from all the reviews I've read. Shuttle has already posted their AK31 rev3 which uses the new chipset. I would wait for that one if it were me.

I agree with classy but if you are hell bent for leather to do this then I'd take webdude's suggestion.
