Which AIO or simple CPU loop kit?

I want to OC our upcoming (4-5 months) new rig (CPU only)... So, I want to go to water-cooling the CPU, either w/ an AIO or a more elaborate setup.

Current candidates to get:
AIO's: Reeven Naia 240, Corsair H100i Pro, Alpha Cool Eisbaer 240, EK-MLC-Phoenix
Water-cool loop: EK KIT RGB360, or buy individual components....I've never done full loop cooling, so I'm not sure about going that route.

The case will be the Phanteks Evolv X. I'm not positive at this point if it can handle a 360 setup in terms of space.

Suggestions for cooling solution for the new rig.... appreciate any/all input... Budget is open.

Read what you suggested, thanks.

Looking like a Z390 Asus MB (Maximus I hope...not out yet), i9-9900K, nVidia 2080ti, in a Phanteks Evolv X case. The cooling decisions... still not sure whether custom loop (CPU or CPU/GPU) or an AIO solution. I'm somewhat afraid of the work involved with a custom loop and that I'll mess it up somehow...

If your the kind that has no patience... then go with air or an aio...

If your the kind that likes to put the finishing touches on things and doesn't mind waiting for it, then go custom water.
If you have deep pockets, also go custom water.

Messing up is not that big of an issue as it used to be.
We got a lot of things which have a lot of tolerances to OOPS, you really would need to rush the build in order to catastrophically mess up.

I'm leaning to a custom loop, though if I thought those EK kits were excellent, then I would consider one of those also. It seems the individual components in those kits aren't quite as good compared to if you chose your own parts.

With my reading over the last several days, the full picture of what is involved is coming into focus. The most confusing part is now as I try to figure out which specific components to get and how to decide if all this will fit in the case I like. The case will be the Phanteks Evolv X which came out recently. http://phanteks.com/Enthoo-Evolv-X.html Mid tower case...
Case dimensions > 9.5" wide, 20.5" high, 20.5" deep

Space:
Fans>
front- 3x120mm (2x140's included there)
top- 3x120's
rear- 1x140mm (included)
Radiators>
top- Up to 360mm with potential thickness (rad and fan) there of 65mm/2.5" Doesn't seem like much space there (thickness-wise)?

And how about the reservoir/pump? How to figure out where and if in the case there's room ?

I would prefer the radiator/fans on top blowing up/out. Front fans pulling in. Rear fan blowing out. The vid card will prob. be the 2080ti.

Make sense?

I've decided to go AIO for the new build (Feb/Mar 2019). To this point I have it down to three companies: EK 'Kit X360', SwifTech 'Drive X3', and one of the AlphaCool units. Nearly every other one had good cooling numbers, but lacked quality in one area or another, imo.

Going HSF... Noctua NH-D15S, and may put on a second fan.

Still waiting for Asus Strix due Nov 7th (but might get EVGA 2080ti FTW3), and the 9900K from B&H Photo.

EDIT > Returned the Strix and waiting for the EVGA FTW3 Ultra...and still no word on the 9900K.

Every time I see an awesome CPU water loop rig....

*Still have the fear factor, but less so.
*The choices for block/reservoir/rad/fans/tubing/fittings... overwhelming.
*The EK configuration section of their site pretty good... will check there again...
*Fitting everything easily into the Evolv X case...important.

I've come full-circle.... my choices for custom CPU water loop in a Phanteks Evolv X case...

*https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-cryofuel-blood-red-premix-900-ml liquid
*https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-coolstream-pe-360-triple radiator
*https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-xres-140-revo-d5-rgb-pwm-incl-sl-pump pump/reservoir
*https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-supremacy-evo-full-nickel water block
*https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-acf-fitting-10-13mm-red fittings... EDIT>... black fittings
*https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-atx-bridging-plug-24-pin bridge plug
*https://www.ekwb.com/shop/filling-bottle-1000ml filling bottle
*https://www.primochill.com/collecti...-2in-od-retail-bundle-10ft-pack-crystal-clear tubing

So, I returned the Noctua HSF. Also returned the WD backup HDD... more room for reservoir/pump. I'll get another m.2SSD as a backup drive or use my older external SSD

So, what do you think of those choices....

Big thing is the radiator is just 40mm so that w/ 3 Noctua fans on top of case blowing out I think is what I want there. Case front will be 3 Noctua's sucking air in, and rear will be a 140mm Noctua blowing air out. What do you think of that plan?

EDIT > I'm now leaning to radiator/3 fans in front of case as intake, 3 fans top of case as exhaust, 1 fan case rear as exhaust.

Thx for any input...

I ended up with...

after looking around for awhile. Im really pleased with it. Its cool, quiet and there was minimal faffing around to get it to work!

I hope to be able to put 3 Noctua 120mm fans at the top of the Phanteks Evolv X case exhausting out, 2/3 140mm fans drawing air into the case front pushing thru the 40mm radiator, one 140mm fan exhausting out the back, EK water block, Primo Chill LRT soft tubing, EK D5 pump/res, and 360 EK radiator.

Nice rig here, hard tubes, and he has front fans pulling air thru his front radiator...

Started the build... just waiting for EK components... 360 radiator w/ 2/3 140mm Noctua's pushing air thru rad into case, 3 120mm Noctua's exhausting air out the top, and a 140mm blowing out the back.

i think you could of saved money not getting the premix and fill bottle from ek.

But i guess a couple of dollars is probably convent to having it all come at once.

Yeah, when I was on the EK site, I started mouse-clicking like the consumer/lemming that I am. Radiator (changed mind again...) will go to case top w/ 3 120 fans pushing air out thru the CoolStream, 2/3 140 fans as intake in case front, and 1 140 fan exiting out the back.

Hope this works out w/ the water-cooling as I have semi/no idea what I'm doing. I'm even having trouble getting all the cabling connectors to the right headers on the motherboard (hard to read very small print on MB).
