Which adapter do I need?

I need to connect those older Mac Displays (27 inch circa 2012) to a newer 2017 MB Pro. Driving me crazy trying to figure out which one works and which one is cheapest.

You don't? Is it so hard to figure out what plug the monitor takes, and then google usb c to ____ ?

If you have a 2011 Thunderbolt Display or Thunderbolt iMac:

Older Apple LED Cinema displays and iMacs use Mini DisplayPort though.

Note that Mini DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 2 look exactly the same, so try not to confuse the two.
