which 9800 256mb to buy to mod to pro or xt

Im in the market to buy a new vid card around 200 and I see the 9800 as a good canidate, however I want to go 256mb just to be safe. ANy advice as to where to get a 256mb non-pro or pro around 200 that I can mod into a xt? Any pros and cons about this ? thanks guys.

I say go with a Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb like the MSI card and O/C it easily to XT speeds. Right now, there isn't much utility in 256mb version over 128mb version.

A softmodded 9800 SE is a very nice card, I have one myself, just beware the cards with 128-bit memory bus and lower clocked core/mem
