US or Euro/UK?

Sparkle has one with a passive heatsink and you can make burgers on it as well ...

The Galaxy and Palit also come with a pretty quite fan as well. Although there are no guarantees which fan you'll get for the Galaxy as they also make one with the stock reference....

There is also this Gigabyte ....

and Asus ....

Anyone of these should run quieter than the stock cooler.

I think ECS (of all companies) released one with the excellent arctic cooling accelero S1 already installed for you... Just put a big old 120mm fan for *almosttotallybutstillunoticeable* cooling.

What's the ECS warranty like, though? (I know swapping coolers doesn't invalidate EVGA's lifetime one...)

Just one year, but I don't think you'll need to swap the cooler. The good news is you can RMA directly to NewEgg

thanks for all the replies folks. the annoying thing about alot of the current after market coolers is they now take 2 pci slots instead of 1 like back in the day. heck some of em even take 3 pci slots (thermalright w/ a fan), its getting ridiculous.:p i need atleast 2 pci slots available for sound card and wireless card.:( all i need is a quiet vid card w/ nice cooling and that doesnt take 1 of my pci slots.

it really sucks that i can't order the galaxy w/ the quiet cooler, can't i specify which version i want? how does that work?!

i'd actually go w/ the ECS one w/ the accelero cooler, but their 1 year warranty totally turned me off. I've had enough vid cards die after 1 year in the past 8 years to know better than to go w/ a 1 year warranty.:(

That ECS with the Accelero is down to 209 with rebate. That's cheaper than some HD 3850 512Mb cards. Great cooler, and nice price.
