- EVGA 8800GT - http://www.evga.com/products/m...2-P3-N802-A1&family=19 *** http://www.evga.com/products/m....asp?pn=512-P3-N805-A1

- Asus 8800GT - http://www.asus.com/products.a...model=1938&modelmenu=1

- XFX 8800GT - http://www.xfxforce.com/web/pr...onfigurationId=1558712

Are there any reviews out there (didn't find any comparing tests, noise tests...)

Which of the cards will work fine in SLi mode?
Can you recommend any good P35 Mainboard (for Q6600) with 2 PCI-E 2.0 slots that doesnt cost 300+ dollars?

Thanks you very much in advance

Usually there's very little difference between the cards physically, if any, so the difference is in the warranties.

That being said, I'd say XFX or EVGA have the best warranities, the former having a "double lifetime warranty" in that if you sell it, the guy you sell it to will also be under warranty. Their warranties also allow for overclocking whereas a lot of the other vendors have crappy warranties such as 1 year or whatever.

In the US, XFX warranty also allows you to swap the cooler with an aftermarket one as long as you swap it back if/when you send it in for an RMA.

I normally stick with xfx, evga or bfg for their lifetime warranties however when I made my most recent purchase I went with msi who only has a 3 year warranty. Why you ask? For two reasons actually. First of all who keeps their graphics cards that long? My current 7800gt co is almost two years old and that is the point where I replace it. With that said I also got the msi 8800 gt cards for $207 each at dell online which represented a significant savings over the other offerings and would keep me under warranty for the time I would use them. In this case it was in my best interest to buy the lesser expensive cards. On the other hand I just upgraded my youngest sons machine in which an 6800gt croaked, xfx with lifetime warranty, with an evga 8800gt so it will also have a lifetime warranty and it was in stock at the moment I needed to buy so I got it. Weight all of your options before you choose a particular card and you should do well.

Leadtech makes some nice cards too if you can find one stateside. Other than that, the ones the guys above mentioned are best b/c of warranties.

You will have to go to each vendors website to verify these warranties for the 8800GT and the Various versions...
I went with EVGA because of the step up program... other then that, these 3 offer OC'd versions and have good customer service... You can't go too wrong with any of the 3... Another factor for you may be what game is bundled with the card...

1.) XFX Warranty - Lifetime and you can pass the warranty it on once if you sell it or give it to someone...

2.) BFG Warranty - Lifetime cannot pass it on...

3.) EVGA Warranty - Lifetime if you register within 30 days, cannot pass on but they do offer a step up program where you can upgrade your card to another card... good if they come out with a new card within 90 days of your purchase date...

First of all i would like to thank you all for your (fast) answers !

I think i will go with the BFG 8800GT , cuz its almost the cheapest one here (except the gigabyte retail with neverwinter nights 2 - but i don't need that) + has a lifetime warranty

thx again

What Syntax said basically. They're all the same under the hood. Look at warranties, cooling designs, and game bundles. You said XFX and EVGA warranties for you are only 3 years so I'm assuming you're a non-us resident. If so, there are a few cards with unique cooling designs which you may want to look at see below. Availability is going to be your biggest problem. Personally I would recommend an EVGA or XFX, even with a three year warranty. As far as noise levels go, they will all the cards that use the stock coolers will be the same.

Also for full PCI-E 2.0 motherboard support you'll need the X38 chipset, not the P35 which is 1.1. However PCI-E 2.0 graphic cards are "suppose" to be backwards compatible.
