Which 785g mico atx motherboard?

Right now I am looking at the MSI 785GM-E65 vs the MSI 785GTM-E45, but I don't know if I should spend the extra money on the GM...

Or should I get a different one altogether?

It's for a basic system, no discrete video card. Athlon II x4 620 chip.

on new chips, always let newegg combos dictate the motherboard decision. you aren't overclocking or doing anything spectacular so you don't need the most expensive motherboard. check out this combo:

same chipset/layout as the MSI 785GTM, but it's a biostar (they've made a huge comeback over the past couple years and many people like them). $143 is a great price if you ask me.

I'm wondering about energy efficiency. The MSI was compared against either the Asus or the Gigabyte (can't remember which) and it used 20% less power.

Can you undervolt with the biostar? Seems like that is a good way to cut down on heat production.

e: nvm...looks like undervolting doesn't do anything with cool n quiet on an idle system.

Hi, I'm very interested in finding out about this, I was actually planning to purchase a gigabyte eequivalent mobo. Can you quote the article?

Thanks

it's been a while since i've looked into it but i've found gigabyte's dynamic energy saver to not really be a selling point. MSI's implementation is more or less the same.
