what the heck is a "Forsa"?!? never heard of it.

I'd probably stick with Leadtek or Pixelview, the Forsa is probably cheap for a reason.

Geniman's Forsa 7800GTX is on Nvidias certified board list, so I wouldn't discount it just because its cheaper. I recall some good reviews on some of their lower-end cards, so I'd definately consider them.

I looked to see if they underclocked the core speed on the Forsa card. Stock GTX cards run at 430. Sometimes companies will overclock them and sometimes they'll underclock them for a cheaper price. The site listed doesnt say anything about its core speed. If its truly 430 then its a good deal. I'd want to know that core speed first though before buying.

Arn't they all the same? I mean nvidia tells them how to build them and componets to use...they all look the same at IC level at least. As far as I can tell only HSF and stock clocks vary. Therefore I'd go with highest stock clock or best designed HSF depending on your intrests.. Personally I like XFX which comes in stock at 490. Alternativly leadtek makes the best HSF IMO. Third is price - maybe go with cheapest?

Well, the XFX isnt a stock 490 per se. Its a factory OC by XFX to be more precise but yeah, they sell it with a 490 speed. But I'm being nitpicky in saying that. No offense intended though. I personally like the eVGA 7800GTX KO ECS3. Its the current fastest GTX card (in the 256 RAM line). eVGA has it OCed to 490 and they equipped it with their ECS3 cooling system. It has already beaten all other cards in benchmarks. Only the 512 RAM cards can beat it. Granted you can OC an already OCed factory card but I'm talking about those coming as is from the factories.

I should also point out that stock 7800GTX (430) cards have been successfully OCed by people up to the 520s without problems. Anything over 500 definetly needs extra cooling though from what I hear.

no, some have Samsung ICs and some have Infineon

Samsung are supposedly better for overclocking

haven't seen too many Samsung reach the speed of my Infineon though, lol
