I?m going to order a Nvidia 7800 GT factory overclocked TODAY!
However, I may want to sell it in a few months (when Nvidia?s new 71 super GPU come out).

I?m wondering which brand some of you might be most interested in buying from me, provided the price is ?right??
I?d expect to offer the card for about $200, or $100 less than it?s current price at that time.

The cards that have caught my eye now (and why) are:

1) XFX ? due to double lifetime warrantee (but some question tech support response)

2) EVGA ? due to the copper heatsink and Lifetime warrantee

3) BFG ? due to Lifetime warrantee and excellent 24/7 tech support

So which would you be most interested in?

Or, something else??

Thanks!
PS: replies are NOT binding :D

But I understand that's only good for 90 days, so would be of no help by the time the new cards come out ?

The XFX warranty carries over to people if you sell it, but from what I heard someone who read the warranty terms say, the warranty becomes so hindered it is useless.

Go eVga, although I do not plan on buying it from you, if I wanted to buy one that is what I would get.

you should be within 90 days. i hear march. we're almost feb now.

edit, if you're worried you'll miss it then get the xfx with the transferable warranty.

Well, Thanks to all who have helped me out.
When I started this thread my most recent knowledge about Video Card technology was at the ATI 9800 AIW level.
Although I did read as many reviews and posts as I could before posting, it?s been the responses of the Forum Community here and else ware that have given me the ?final knowledge polish? to make a purchase with confidence. (And if this expensive monster doesn?t work, Boy are you guys going to get flamed!)

Anyway my purchase is (drumroll please) ? the EVGA 7800 GT CO with a factory GPU speed of 470 and memory of 1100.
I purchased it from Clubit.com (which has a resellerratting.com of 9.7x) for $309 plus about $24 Calif. Sales tax <sigh>, and free shipping. :D

256-P2-N517-AX $309

What is kinda weird is they have it priced CHEAPER than the SLOWER evga card (GPU 445MHz; Mem. Clock 1070 at $326!

One other thing anyone thinking of buying today or tomorrow might want to know ? with purchase of this card there is an additional $30 mail-in rebate IF you also buy any AMD Athlon 64, X2, or FX!

But it?s only good for purchases thru Jan 31st, and only from these merchants: Aspect Computer, MicroStandard, Mighty Micro, ClubIT.com, Tiger Direct, ZipZoomFly, or CBW

AND it?s really HARD to find (like there trying to hide it!) but here?s a link to it:

As always, CAREFULLY read everything for yourself!

Thanks again for all your help!
