I'm surprised this hasn't been discussed much!

With the advent of the 805, dual-core processing has reached some very low pricepoints! Which mobo chipsets support these dual-core CPU's properly though?

i945/955.... and?

u can see my rig in my sig .

i have the 945G , running fine , stable , and fast , and sadly on integrated graphics .

my uncle has the same setup , but a Intel Pentium D 820 , and a Evga 6800GS .

my suggestion if u are going for Dual-Core then dont go for the 945G , use PCIe slot for graphics .

Peace & ciao !!!

Most 945's do with a bios update, and newer chipsets. (955,975)

I was seriously under the impression that only the Intel chipsets, i945 and higher, supported dual-cores!! Are you sure that if you plug an 820 or 805 into one of those others you don't simply see ONE core instead of both? So it only appears to be working correctly, but it's not.....

Yes it does. I wanted dual core but on a budget so i got this...

Dual core support and DDR1

Cheap and I was able to use my DDR1 with a 805
