Which 64-Bit/66MHz PATA Controller cards do you like?

I don't want anything too expensive, and I'm not a big fan of IDE RAID. I'm just looking for a nice, stable, fast controller card that won't drain my budget. I'd like at least two channels on it.

Thanks!

Well if your trying to get by without spending lots of cash, 32-bit is the way to go unless you need 64-bit. The price difference is huge, and the vast majority of all 64-bit cards come with 2 channels, and run between $175-$220, so it will be hard to find any under those prices. The only one I know of off hand is the adaptec model, so thats the route I would go just because I have had good experience with their 32-bit ide and sata controller cards in the past. Good luck!

You can get 32/66 relatively cheaply.

Promise Ultra133 TX2 is a two controller getup. The same card is also available with RAID support as the FastTrak TX2000. TX4000 is a four-controller model.

You don't have to use the RAID features, JBOD will allow you to access the disk directly.
