Looking to upgrade my system with SSD. Will use for O.S. and programs. Running Windows 7 32 bit. Best deals I can see at the moment are:

1. Kingston 64GB SSDNow V100 Series 2.5" SATA II Internal Solid State Drive - SV100S2/64GZ $85 AR
2. A-DATA AS596TB-64GM-C 64GB S596 Turbo 2.5" USB 2.0 & SATAII Internal / External Solid State Drive (SSD) $96
3. OCZ Agility Series OCZSSD2-1AGT60G 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) $105 AR.
4. 64GB SATA II 3.0Gb/s 2.5" G2 Series Solid State Drive (SSD) With SandForce 1222 Controller. From Microcenter. $100

The best overall price is for the Kingston. Any reason not to get this? Which is the best of the lot?

Not gaming, some video editing. Have 2 PCs, home has Gigabyte H55M-USB3 board.

Hope this is the right place for the question.
Thanks,
Justin

I'd avoid the kingston V/V100 series, they use the jmicron controller and are at the bottom of most charts along with the wd siliconedge. v100+ uses a toshiba controller I believe (you'd have to research to be sure).

The other 3 are all sandforce based, if I'm not mistaken, and should perform about the same. I'd go with whichever brand you feel more comfortable with.

2 other options that aren't sandforce based would be crucial C300 (marvell), and samsung 470 (samsung controller)
these retail for $110-$130 for the 64GB versions however.

If money is king and those are the only choices i'd probably choose #2

Thanks. Money isn't totally king, but I like to be frugal. I live abroad and some things are not so easy to get, like these SSDs, so look for best deal, that is reliable while I'm here. Long wait for me for exchanges when purchases are stateside.

Any other alternatives? I figured the 60-64 GB would be adequate with a bit of headroom.

The OCZ Agility IS NOT SandForce based. The Agility 2 is, but not the original. The original is Indilinx Barefoot.

The A-DATA and Kingston are JMicron based.

I'd say get the MicroCenter G2 or the OCZ Vertex 2 for $130. The Agility 2 60GB and Vertex 2 60GB are both around $130, but the Vertex 2 has better firmware.

I stand corrected, thanks.
In that case, I agree #4 of those options would be the best

Just saw this. What about Corsair Force CSSD-F60GB2-BRKT 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) at $109 AR?
Does this have the newer SandForce and does that matter? How would it compare to the Microcenter G2?

Appreciate all the input.

Also the Agility in that line used a slower, thus cheaper NAND. It was the budget drive in that class. I had the non-Agility Vertex 60gb and had no problems though.
