Which 6 to 8 pin cable should I get for a 9800GX2?

I'm looking at getting a 6 to 8 pin cable for an xfx 9800GX2. My power supply, an OCZ GameXStream 700W should be able to support it. Anyone know of a quality cable that I can order for this?

I just got the BFG card, it comes with one and they're the only company I know of that is officially supporting 6pin to 8pin adapters under warranty.

Received the card today, I will be testing it when I get home from work.

The adapter cable that comes with the BFG card looks to be fairly beefy. It is probably designed not to be a current bottleneck, although the card purportedly only eats 350-370W max so that should not be maxing out current in even a 18A 12V line.

you cant just plug the 6 pin into the 8 pin reciever? It's not like you're delivering anymore power w/ the converter, just gives you a warm fuzzy perhaps. Or perhaps the converter is req'd because if you hook up a 6pin the card will detect you dont have power connected and scream at you.

Negative. this has been tested and you get a red LED (not working)

Why don't you call OCZ and see if they can help you? I ended up calling Corsair because my 620W shipped with only 6 pin and it turned out they were shipping 8 pins to who ever called or emailed for them... they now ship with 8 pin.
