Hello there -
I have a Dell 1701fp 17'' LCD (same as 1702fp really). I do digital editing mostly with photoshop in a Windows enviornment. I also play a lot of FPS.
I have always been curious as to how much nicer ATI's would be with my LCD, but I am in love with Nvidia's color correction. It makes colors so much more vibrant, and I love it.
So now I want to upgrade my ti4400 to a 5900. I currently have a Leadtek - I got it because I heard they have the best 2d quality amongst nvidia cards. Is this still the case with DVI connections on the new FX 5900 line?

My options are:
Leadtek 5900 - $205
XFX 5900 - $190
EVGA 5900 - $190

I'll be running default speeds, but you know how it goes...i'll be overclocking in about 6 months when I get bored of it. Any suggestions on which to buy?
Ben

yo no one knows! What about the 5900 vs 5800? I know there is a big difference, but in what way?

Um, don't get a 5800. THat's old technology that never made it off the ground. Pretty much all the 5900s should be about the same, I would think.

Dont buy XFX because they have slower memory speed. Buy the one that has 400 core, 800 mem.

I think you`ll be very happy with a Leadtek or Gainward fx5900 card image quality wise, especially in DVI mode.

I just got the eVGA FX5900 and it is the best card I've ever owned.
It does 495/990, although it wouldn't do 500/1000 (but it's REALLY close! :D )
I have it hooked up to a 19" LCD using the DVI connection and I am very happy with it and would recommend it highly.

BTW, who's selling it for $190? Mine was $225 shipped @ Newegg :(
