So I'm looking for some ~$50 2.1 speakers to move with me to Florida.

It seems the best choices from CompUSA/BestBuy/CircuitCity are:

logitech z340
Creative Inspire 2500
Altec Lansing 221

Which would you choose, or any other recommendations (in the same price range)?

I do have some decent bookshelf speakers I'd use, but I don't want use alot of space on my receiver (and RadioShack's amplifier is already more than $50...what a surprise

cool. I haven't had a chance to listen to them in a store, but I've been reading good things about them.

Anyway, no one knows of a solution to convert and amplify stereo RCA directly into speakers for cheap?

I actually did have a chance to listen to those and wasn't very impressed. Maybe I'll have to listen to them again. Where's the rebate/coupon for?

You will definitely have to listen to them again. They sound very good considering their price, adn they look sleek too.

The rebate/coupon is at staples.
my rebate came in about a month.
