Which 5.1 speakers are better?

Through the wonderful RIP (rewards @ Imation promotion) program, I have been able to get the Creative Labs 5200 5.1 speakers for free (well, 60,000 RIP points). I now have 60,000 rip points again, and discovered that Imation replaced the Crative Labs speakers with Altec Lansing 251 5.1 speakers. Of the two, which set is better? Should I go for the Altec Lansing, and sell my Creative Labs to a friend for $70? Or should I go for their free 17" monitor and skip the speaker question all together?
 
Not sure of the comparison but the altecs were chosen by MaximumPC as the best value 5.1 set with the klipsch being the best 5.1.

They are about 60 usd up here in canada right now at a national big box electronics store.
