Which 4.1 Speakers to buy: Creative Labs Inspire 4400 or Cambridge FPS1600 ?

I think it would be a tough choice, both speakers are 4.1 and both have only 41 watt RMS of power. I'd say go with the Inspire since its newer, and maybe Creative made it sound better, etc.

i suggest going with neither ... the logitech z560s for about 130 at www.newegg.com kicks serious butt ...

There excellent speakers ,however not everybody can afford to buy them,between the Creative Labs Inspire 4400 & the Cambridge FPS1600 I would probably go with the newer Creative Labs 4400 model,another option is the Z540 Logitech speakers which are good for the price.

The only problem is that the z-540's are 2.1, not 4.1 like guybrush is looking for. Of those two systems, go for the inspire 4400's, they have gotten decent reviews. if you can spend a little more look at the altec lansing 251 5.1 setup, they are decent but lile the creatives lack serious punch.

If you can afford it then go for the Z-560's, nothing beats 400 watts of THX 4.1 for $130ish. :)

Wrong!! The Logitech Z540 are 4.1 speakers,the Z340 are the 2.1, have a look here .
