My EPoX 8KHA+ can take up to a 2600+ 266 Tbred and my dad wants my palomino 1800+ so Im going for a little upgrade.

Ive heard that 1700+'s are good overclockers but I dont fancy dropping down on stock speeds. 2100+'s seem to be another popular one but what ones are best? Ive just read that very nice post with the Thoroughbred B Overclockers link (thanks to whoever posted it) and that has listed some very nice things to look out for with respect to codes, so the big question im asking is 'which model?'

Also, will my 8KHA+ unlock all the multipliers on a T'Bred B? I havent heard about any of the VIA 266A chipsets being able to unlock multipliers. Perhaps someone has experience of this board, would save me posting this on the Motherboard forum.

best overclocking chips now are the xp1700 and the xp2100

BUT ONLY THOROUGHBRED B'S!!!

i have a xp2100 at xp2700 easy, and mine is considered an average overclocker

i read a lot of epox's dont unlock the multiplier even with t-bred b's tho.

in that case you will be stuck with a very fsb-limited board.

your Epox should have unlocked the multipliers
try searching for a 1700+ DLT3C JIUHB chip. they're great overclockers. i have 1 and it oc's easily to 2600+ speeds and undervolted by .025v
