Which 250Gb HDD? (Hitachi, Maxtor)

I'm buying a new system, so I'm thinking of buying two 250Gb HDDs. I was thinking of Hitachi 250Gb, but now with new Maxtor 250Gb NCQ out, I'm not shure.

Any advice?

NCQ will be much faster than one without it.

I would personally get a seagate drive because they have that sexy 5 year warranty. (and I actually did get one just a few days ago)

So then warranty or NCQ. If it's a quality drive it shouldn't crap out. So if you're shooting for performance get one with NCQ.

I would go with the Maxtor. They have the 16MB cache and the 100GB platters. They are currently the fastest 7200RPM HDs in the market.

As for NCQ support, does you Mobo have a compatible chipset?

I have two of the Hitachis, just get them. The Maxtor isn't worth the extra money. The 16mb isn't any faster. I paid 140 dollars a piece for mine.

I'm thinking Asus A8N-E Premium or Gigabyte K8NXP-9 nForce4 Ultra, so NCQ is supported I believe.

About Maxtor I heard lots of bad things. The biggest problem is that they go bad a lot, but haven't heard anything for this new NCQ series. Hitachi on the other hand looks very stable and is also one of the fastest,. but it doesn't support NCQ. Now, in practise, what could the real difernce be? Is NCQ really that faster, and how is with stability, any better then previous series?

So far I had 3 Hitachi Hdd's and they all did well. HAd 1 Maxtor and it went bad after a few month, so I really want a HDD which works for a longer period.
