Which 21" monitor???

the CTX PR1400F? at $875?

Or the Viewsonic PF815 ??? at $840....

It seems to me the Sony Trinitron FD tube would be nice, but CTX???

Most of the monitors I've bought for myself in the past few years have been viewsonic, and they are very nice, but it seems lately they haven't been keeping up with the tech.

CTX is a fairly well known monitor maker, I consider them even more reliable than KDS. Plus it's a Sony FD Trinitron(only 6 manufacturers) tube, I dont see why you should worry. If you're gonna get a Mitsubishi tube, get the Mitsubishi DiamondPlus 200 for around the same price instead of the ViewSonic.

I used to have a CTX monitor, back in the day... 15" with my 386, and it was good then, but the more recent generations of CTX monitors seem to be a bit lack luster... At least until the latest gen of PR series monitors, the FD tube is a nice touch.... Anyone else have one, or have any experience with their tech support?

I have 2 Sony G500 21" monitors.

The perfectly flat screen is nice but I've had to return numerous ones for quality problems such as settings not being saved and geometry problems.

I wouldn't recommend them especially at the price you pay.

The 815 is a rounded screen, get the CTX.

Uhm, you can get a KDS 21"er for around $650 including shipping.

Mine works really good. Nice color and everything

I also have the Trinitron KDS and have no complaints...
