Which 2.1 speakers to get?

I say spend another $15 and get the 5.1

Ok, well they're for our MAME system so headphones are stupid and 5.1's won't have any sound difference from the 2.1's.

Also, should be buy online or just get them at the local computer store?

omg omg omg omg they are soooo good. I've got both the klipsch and the labtecs and the labtecs own the klipschs as far as bang for buck goes...

yup these could be had for $20 AR. great speakers if you ask me. Only thing is you'll have to accept the looks.

The THX enabled ones (are there normal ones?) are $170 here. Pretty steep. I got a $50 mail in rebate on mine; the $120 is a bit easier to swallow. The speakers are excellent

Compgeeks has some Yamaha MST50s (refurb) for $50 now ... I bought a set of these like 4 years ago, and they sound excellent. IMO they are awesome for 2.1s.
