Which 1TB internal HDD to get?

Telling someone which brand of hard drive to buy is a bit like trying to tell someone who to vote for in a primary - a whole bunch of people will chime in and tell you how wrong you are based on their own anedotal evidence.

So I won't recommend anything... 🙂

Also, the Spinpoints usually get great user reviews at Newegg... Spinpoints often win their customer choice award... although apparently the 1TB Spinpoint isn't winning any beauty contests at Newegg yet.
 
If you have a Best Buy near you, you can get the WD for $229.
It's the 1TB myBook, and the drive is easy to remove from the casing.

Samsung is the best one IMO.

But Seagate offers longer warranty.

And WD is cheaper, & lower power consumption.

Pick your poison? 😉
