I know I've posted a question similar to this a while back, and I've been searching and reading all of the monitor suggestions in other monitor related posts, but I think I've got it narrowed down. The Sony G420S or Samsung 900NF. Has anyone used both of these and can give a comparison between the two? I was also wondering how the Conerstone P2460 compares with the other two. I've read some reviews of it, but they never compare it to any other monitors so it is hard to get an idea of how it ranks. I really wish I had the money for the Iiyama Vision Master Pro 454, but it is over my $400 w/shipping budget. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd go with the Sony.

I have done 4 times now (different PCs) and I would do again...

depends on which is more expensive basically there is no difference and it is up to u.
I would choose the samsung just because sony is just priced probably higher because of its name. Also there isnt a difference in either of the masks or any thing so it is up to your preferences

Thanks for the fast responses :) Actually, they are priced about the same. The Sony is about $50 higher. When they both come in at close to $400, $50 doesn't matter too much.

The Sony, hands down. I have the earlier model, the E400. It's awesome man, I wouldn't trade it for anything other then a 21" Sony.

I also have the E 400, the picture is hard to beat. My brother has the Samsung, also a very nice picture. I think the color on the Sony is slightly better (to my eyes) or maybe its just my preferred settings. So its tough call to make. Both are easy to look at for long periods of time. If it was my money, I'd say if you can pony up the extra bucks go for the Sony

I'm very pleased with my 19" Cornerstone P1460. Once my friends come down i'll be able to compare it to other expensive 19" crts. All I can say is it's a lot better than my 15" viewmate.
