I am thinkging about putting my two year old Samsung 1200nf in the closet (along with GF Ti 500) and getting a flat panel. I just don't have the time for video games anymore.

I was looking at the 19" flat panels, but have yet to find one that will do 1600x1200. So my first question is, does one exist? Which one is the best to get?

Thanks for any advice.

There are 20.1'' flat panel displays (like the Viewsonic VP201m) that have a native resolution of 1600x1200.

You are putting your 1200NF in the closet :Q:Q

Send it to me please!!:p (how much are would you sell it for?)

As for a good LCD monitor, I suggest a 19" Planar. Dell.com is a place that I know that sells thems. They have a SXGA and UXGA type panels, but I don't know the resolutions of them. I think UXGA is 1600x1200 though. The UXGA is almost 2 grand, but there are coupons out there to bring the price down.
Edit: Direct link to the UXGA model @ dell.com (wouldn't mind having this monitor :D

My vote goes to viewsonic for flat panels. I have the VG175 and it is a GREAT monitor. I have experienced no problems with is thus far. Also the image quality is superb, and when you crank up the resolution for games, it does quite well there also. You have a lot of choices, my advice is to go look at some and make your own decision.

iiyama makes a 1600x1200 19", but it wasn't much cheaper than the 20.1" when i was looking
i ended up getting the dell 20.1" when they had one of their sales

I don't want this to turn into a For Sale thread as this is not the place for it; any inquiries email me or pm me.

The price difference between the 19" and 20" is twice as much...kind of seems like a waste of money for 1 more inch... but I can't go with anything lower then 1600x1200.

Is that the Dell 2000FP model? Does it do UXGA? The Dell site doesn't specify.

The Dell 2000fp (20.1", 1600x1200 native) can be had during their frequent 20% off deals for $1439.20 shipped. You'd have to pay MORE for a 19" 1600x1200 LCD.
