Which 1700+ Stepping ?

First of all I did search, so sorry if I missed the info I needed I am just a slight bit confused.

I was all ready to buy a barton but now I am wondering if a 1700+ will offer me more bang for my buck. Which stepping should I be looking for and where can I buy it? I'd prefer retail for the warranty.. but I can look at OEM.

excaliberpc.com has the RETAIL 0310 WPMW (they say u can get a 0310 WPMW or XPMW but you can call them a specify you want a WPMW). all the 0310 wpmw i have had experiance with hit 2.4 ghz with less than 1.8V

Both charge a bit more, but you are all asured 2.3ghz

Ok, so is it better to get a 1700+ that I am assure to get a good OC, or spend another 20$ and get a barton?

Hmm im sorry but I dont see that retail version on their site could you point it out?

is getting the retail worth it?

wow, i guess they sold out. that was fast. i was on their site a week ago and they still had them

And I don't know about the 2.3GHz "assured" thing. My 0310WPMW only does 2.1GHz stable with an SLK-800, 50cfm fan and all the volts you can throw at it.

i recommend just getting the latest stepping you can find
I can't remember anyone saying anything bad about any t-bred b steppings that have come out this year
they all overclock pretty close it seems
