I have a choice of theses monitors:
Philips 109S, Mitsubishi 1770f, ViewSonic E70, AOC 7G (0.25), Hitachi CM615, LG 775N.

I am looking for a monitor which doesn't use much power, has a sharp, colourful picture, that will display text and graphics well. I will be using 1024x768.
I am leaning towards the Philips, because it is energy efficient, compact, and has LightFrame.

Any info / experiences on these monitors would be appreciated.

Hmm the Mitsubhishi 1700F or the Hitachi CM615.

Above all those, I think the Samsung 700NF or KDS AV-7TF would be better though.

Thanks for the replies.

I think the Hatachi is good as well. When comparing these monitors, I noticed that a ADI MicroScan E75 has the most video bandwidth, at 175.5 MHz. Can someone please explain what video bandwidth is, as how much it affects the picture. I think the Philips has 110 MHz, as well as the Hitachi.

"Bandwidth" is the range of video frequencies that can be adequately handled by the video amplifier of the monitor. However, there are so many different ways of measuring the "bandwidth" of the video amp - some relevant, and some not. Without knowing how the manufacturer measured the bandwidth it may not be a very useful specification for comparison purposes.

Good Luck
