which 120mm fan have the lowest noise?

Keep in mind you can often run fans at reduced voltage, such as 7 volts. For 7V in particular, ground the fan to the +5V line from the PSU (this is the red wire in a standard 4-pin plug like a hard drive uses).

do what I did today, go to your local electronic surplus store and test all the fans on their test bench.

I hooked up 3 different 120mm fans today. sunnon, ystech, and nmb, the sunnon was the loudest. cfms were all about the same. really wish i could've tested the papst fans, they didn't have bare leads so i couldn't try them.
