Thanks to this ATOT and constant reminders of debt and silly purchases, I refrained from buying a new cpu, motherboard, and a stick of PC2700 ram.

I see the RossMAN effect, I don't need that right now. This place giving me second...and third....and forth thoughts about upgrading every time, after I realized I have a perfectly working computer anyways.

It's very hard to keep from upgrading, I had to resort to buying a laptop as my main machine so I wouldn't constantly upgrade, and even then I find myself doing it with extra boxes (divx box, server, etc!)

it's not as bad as being like Psychoandy (er.. PAB) buying in multiples of 10 or so... :eek:

It could be worse: You could be me. I already had a perfectly good working computer (Athlon XP 1800+ / Asus A7V266E combo) yet still went out and bought a new iMac (which is really, really nice, by the way) just for the hell of it.
