Is there still a drought? This rain going to help?

Also, what's it like on the East side?

I can't beleiv eu gusy have a drought. My family is from Oregon and I come over every summer to Portland. Usually the West of the state has tons of rain and the east is allways dry. However a drought occured and there isn't anough rain for power to export to CA. I am in Michigan and we are the only state above rain amounts this season.

We had 7 years of drought ending several years ago. Our rain is usually drizzle, and in the summer all the water comes from snowpack. Light snow means little snowpack, means drought.

The power export problem is partially due to salmon too, they are letting lots water trhough the dams to help migrating salmon. What I don't know is if the water needs to be let through like that because of drought conditions lowering water levels...
