Where's the html?

When I post messages or create threads I don't see any icons to insert html tags, such as ones for links, bold, etc. Am I missing something here? Do I have to enable an option to get this to work?
 
Edit your options, and down near the bottom select "Standard Editor" (or "Enhanced Interface") instead of the default Basic Editor.
