Where's the Geforce 6100 thread?

See front page story.

I'm personally looking forward to this. Should be able to cheaply upgrade my parent's machine now without having to shell out for a new card. Not to mention having a great upgrade path with S939 and PCIE.

Might be tied closer into GH or Motherboards, since it's only coming as part of the C51G and C51VP chipsets.

Cliff's - expect GPU performance around that of a TurboCache 6200, depending on whether or not it's being put onto a single-channel (S754) or dual-channel (S939) board.

That will be perfect for non-gamer mom-and-pop types.

Finally. On-board DVI. If ASUS can price their high-end 6150 around $80, I want it!

Edit: PIC of ASUS board.+

its unfortunate that its dvi-d.

i'm still hoping goes ahead and makes another dual head analog board , like the old shuttle mn31n nf2 igp.

i already had a thread on this....it wasnt about the 6100 though, it was about the actual chipset. i had it in GH and in Video

My bad. I wasn't too sure where to put this.

Anyone know when we might see some benches?

Yes!!! on-board DVI I can't believe it's taken this long considering that LCD's are more popular than CRTs... yeah, I know, a lot of people still use the analog connection, but still...

so ,wait. What is DVI-D? Is that bad? Will that not work properly with my Dell 1905FP?

no, its fine.

I read up on DVI-D a bit. I understand now... As shown, the Asus board can do dual display, but one DVI-D (digital) only for a flat panel, and one VGA, and hans007 was hoping for dual-VGA.

Personally, I don't use VGA anymore and am very happy to see on-board DVI : )
