Where's the first place you drove alone after you got your license?

Not too eventful... I drove around this lake near our house. Probably a 2 mile trip but I can remember it like it was yesterday and I am getting to be an old dude, lol.

Umm, lessee, drove a couple of my friends from one guy's house to another. Of course, 16 year olds can't legally do that in my state anymore.

I specifically remember three of my friends were hanging out at my friends house about 2 miles from my house. I didnt tell my friends I got my license and just drove over there without telling them. I showed up at the door and they were all wondering how i got there. I told them I drove myself. what a good feeling

I think the first time was to take in cans for money.

The first time I drove alone, was from Amarillo, TX to Syracuse, KS. I was going to pick up my brother who had just broke up with his g/f. It was kind of weird, and scary, but I loved every minute of it. I think it was about a 3 or 4 hour drive on a bunch of deserted back highways.

i don't recall, but i do know my parents taught my how to drive stick 5 months into my permit but they both worked so i didn't get to drive the stick car really til after i got my license. i would usually just go out and drive the car at night when my parents came back from work to practice once i got my license...maybe that's the first thing i did, practice

Went and picked up my buddy and we went to the mall. Broke that stupid law within about a half hour of getting my license.

Because I wasnt allowed to get my permit until 17 and my license until 18.

It was a royal blue 1973 Chevrolet Caprice wagon, with a 400ci small block. I asked my Dad if I could borrow the car, to which he agreed. I then went across town, picked up my girlfriend, and we made some time in the back of the car, thanks to the fold down backseat. :shocked:

ha ha same here. i drove alone LONG before i got my license ... didn't go on the highways but pretty much anywhere else and more frequently that you'd think

I have no idea. Getting my license was no big deal since I was already driving around quite a bit before that.
