I want to get the best total return I can in the 3-12 month time frame on a few thousand?

i saw something about referalls to ing getting $25 (and 3%) to open new account which would be better than the extra .25% from emmigrantdirect

could I get a better return on cd's/bonds?

don't want to put more in stocks now
