If any one has any PIC of where to place fans for the best cooling please could you give me a link to it?

Thanks.

I plan to get a X800XL and i just wanted to know if on my case's side panel should i put a fan blowing air on the video card or make the fan blow air on to my cpu???

Way too many question marks. We already have a few that do that here. Don't add to it,plz.

Link a pic of your case. Tell us your case type and brand. Have you modded the case in any way?

A, how high is up question won't work, be as specific and detailed as you can.

Give it till 9:00PM for a bump.

you take a pci slot cover, bend it out over the card, drill hole or glue fan to it blowing straight down over card. done!

I will get the pic's as soon as i can but i can tell you this, i bought my PC from a PC shop so its a normal case.

I have not mod'd my case yet but i'm planning to soon, nothing too wild just a simple window mod to start of with.

Right now i have 1 fan at the front of my case sucking air in, i just need to know where to put the rest of the fans.

Thanks.

You need to cut out the back and front grills of the case... Airflow is horrible with those grills, also going to be a lot of turbulence noise, if noise level is important to you.

You show no profile. That confuses me.

From looking at the pics you posted, I'm going to guess that there is Not an intake fan on the lower front of this case. It seems it relies on drawing air through the side covers.

Take what Shadowknight posted seriously.

Using sharp side cutters the rear grill should be removed and a wire grill, like the one on the PSU, installed.

If you need to move alot of air quietly. Clean up the hole where the stamped grill was removed and install a 92mm fan externally, using a 80mm to 92mm addapter. In plastic the addapters are <$5.
If you need more intake air. Cut a hole in the left side cover, centered between the graphics card and CPU, just favoring the front of the case. Use a 92mm or even better a 120mm fan.
If that sounds like too much work or you have no tools, maybe a better case is in order.

Sorry guys i should have said that besides my CPU fan and my Power supply i also have a fan in the front of my case.

And now that i think of it, there are no holes in the front of my case so where is it drawing air from?😕

I have not altered any part of my PC but i plan to do a simple window mod to start of with.

I am a bit worried about the fan in the front, cause there are no holes for it to draw air from.

Any idea's as to what i could do.

Also my profile was enabled i don't know why its not showing, any way to turn it on.

Thanks.

Seriously,I'm not trying to be funny or rude, is English your primary language? Where are you posting from?

Yes! Cut out that grill and install a wire grill, like the one on the PSU above it. Install a higher cfm 80mm fan or as I suggested, an external 92mm fan by using an addapter.

Install a lt.side cover intake later if it's needed, as i posted above.
