I have a HP Deskjet 970cxi. I must say I really like the printer but the cartridges are expensive.
I want to know if if anyone has found a good place to buy these at a good price.
(I'm not interested in messing around with refill kits).

Refurb ones usually are a good deal. But in general, prices on these suck butt. I bet it costs $0.50 to make an ink cartridge full of ink.

TunaBoo, lets just say HP and others very much enjoy the revenue from ink and special paper products.

I miss the days of cheap third-party printer ribbons.

The best place to buy inkjet cartridges is... in the big boxes with the big plastic things in. They're called inkjet printers.
You buy an inkjet cartridge separately and see how far down the value for money goes... HP make more money from refills than any other line in their business I believe. An abuse of patent laws if ever there was one.
