I dug around the forums and cant find it anymore. Just spend the morning searching through some OLD threads. Found a couple graphics overhauls for Morrowind. But the one I want put ES3 into ES4's engine.

Or is that the one that got shut down cuz of copyright issues?

Crud. I liked Morrowind better but the graphics and physics are far inferior. Just beat another game of Oblivion a couple weeks ago. Wanted to go back to the better game again. Oh well, theres still the big graphics overhaul mod.

Wait......
is it......
Yes thats the one!
It requires you install both games with expansions, and then download their mod which is several gigs, then pack it into an ESM.

Fuck thats a lot of work. For some reason I thought it was just a tool that converted all the Morrowind data, not gigs of shit all on its own. They must have also rebuilt all the meshes and textures and sound effects too.

Any nude mod for Oblivion.

Apparently you start a new Oblivion game and it pops up with a question asking you to choose between them.
OR, go to the IC and talk to a girl who will transport you to Vvardenfell.

Good news is all my other mods should work too. Bad news is some mods (like my enhanced UI) may have problems, and some of them arent ESM's I can simply uncheck.

OK, now I'm extracting and copying them over.

I really wish companies would make a Redux of their popular games. KOTOR 1 and 2 pop into mind. Morrowind. Final Fantasy 7.

Much easier than homebrew communities fucking around for years only to get a buggy alpha out. I'd pay money for a revamped KOTOR 1 and completed KOTOR 2.

Honestlu I just wish Oblivion was easier to mod. i always install it planning ot go through and use a couple mods but then i start reading how to install them and just give up. RavenSEAL should make a Drag and Drop Oblivion mod setup.

YES. Though, that still wouldn't make me want to clear Oblivion gates. Have you tried out Nehrim?

No i have not. I really never got into Oblivion TBH. I ended up playing the quirky leveling system for a few hours and then said forget it and haven't opened it since.

Yeah this was my problem with Oblivion mods as well. There would be some very brief notes on how to set it up, but I could never get the crap to work.

Go try out Nehrim. It's a whole new game (no Oblivion gates, fixed leveling system). Only problem is it is voiced in German, but I guess that's what subtitles are for.

I will wait for the ArenMorroblivionrimfall mod. The one that merges all TES games together...

OK, spent the afternoon playing Morrowind in Oblivion.
Kinda weird not hearing voice out of everybody. For those who recall the original, when you spoke to people you got a huge menu with all the chat topics and could click through quickly and unlock all the discussions and consequently the quests and markers for locations.
With Oblivions speech menu you move much slower through subjects of conversation, but thats because in Oblivion people have fewer things to say.

All lockpicks have been replaced with one generic lockpick (no master, novice, etc). Items which grant spells dont allow you to cast them, but instead have a constant effect. This ranges from unbalancing (constant restore fatigue 20) to silly. The graphics are improved to the point where even my GTX460 can occasionally crawl along in areas with lots of shiny junk.
Oh, all those dull bottles and weapons and armor decorating Morrowind? They are now shiny, and quite annoying.
Lanterns and candlesticks work just as in original ES3, and the improved quality lighting effects make them quite nice. As before, be careful not to scoop up all the lights sitting around or you could leave a room in darkness.

You can play in both worlds and switch between them at will, bouncing back and forth as you see fit. Theres a transport captain in Seyda Neen who offers to take you to Cyrodil for 1000 gold. Quests all mash into your quest menu and I suspect if you started a bunch in each world things would get confusing after a while.
The world map looks gorgeous, and fast travel is enabled. The only time you need the stilt strider or mages teleporter is when discovering new areas. Vivec looks great, as do all the other towns. Water is even more beautiful, as is the sky. Monsters are slightly improved and where there was overlap (mudcrabs) I suspect they just straight imported the Oblivion creature. All the Morrowind armor and weapons look original, but just slightly better. Spells and spell effects are the same, and there is no Levitation. Whenever you use a Levitation potion, the game tells you to type in TCL until the effect wears off. Serious game breaker right there. But I guess writing a script for flying was too difficult.

Music is sparse. You get the Morrowind theme frequently and in between they just use Oblivions music, which feels weird.

You can pick up and toss items with the Z key as in Oblivion, but when running around banging into stuff I notice junk doesnt go flying like it used to. Suspect they had to program the physics for items from scratch (lanterns and candles were non-movable in Oblivion) and they went with more subdued settings)

Actually considering playing the original Morrowind with the big graphics overhaul, but I gotta admit that fast travel is just too convenient to pass up. Oh, and they did include Mark/Recall and Alumsivi Intervention. But I'd rather be able to go anywhere, not just a handful of picked places.

Hollywood has certainly learned that trick. I know for my part, I would totally get suckered into buying new updated engine/graphics versions of games like KOTOR, BG, PS:T, DX, etc. etc. the list goes way on.

Licensing issues with that. Some of the devs for the older games have been bought out and resold so many times, I don't think anyone knows who actually owns the rights to them any more.

Bethesda still owns Elder Scrolls. At least I hope they do cuz they just made another one.
Square still owns Final Fantasy. They'd have to make a hundred years worth of bombs before they sell of that franchise.
Lucas owns all Star Wars games. He just issues out licenses to make one at a time. Thats why we never got a KOTOR 3.

Crap:( ... I already have this installed:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16976

...It's not finished and I'm not sure I know how to uninstall it ... installing morroblivion would probably cause conflicts between the two mods.

Its not just one ESM is it?
Neither is morrowblivion. Theres one ESM, a buttload of ESP's, and you also have to copy over two gigs of junk into your data folder.
