Wheres my SP2?

Okay I bought the Home SP2 Oem cd for my new build and i think with sp2 theres an icon in the little bar on the bottom of the desktop. But it seems its missing. Anyway to put on SP2 without reinstalling windows or downloading it from MS Update?

I'm not sure what you're referring to. To check what version you have, go to Start / Run and type "winver". The window should indicate that SP2 is installed.

do the 'winver' thing and see what version you have sintalled... i don't recall any 'icon in the little bar on the bottom of the desktop' (assuming you mean the taskbar and/or system tray) that indicates whether SP2 is installed or not... one thing you'll notice thats different is the Security Center in Control Panel... anyway post back and we'll give you further help if needed!
