Where's my Floppy drive!!!! ????????

hey all, just needed to put a floppy in, but its not under my computer.. WTF? i checked device manager.. still there, scanned for Hardware changes... im using XP pro... it worked last week?whats up?

flip the cable around in the back (turn the cable upside down from what it is now.)

Ill give it a shot, but why? this computer has been working perfect for, 4 months now! ?

ok the drive is totally gone under My Computer... not even listed, yet its listed under Device manager, and it says the device is working properly.. think its a dead drive?

Weird. Same thing happened to me once, except I don't think the floppy showed up in Device Manager. In my case, the floppy drive was mysteriously disabled in BIOS. Enabling it fixed the problem.

i know. It's enabled... oh well if its a gonner... only like 10 bucs! at least its the cheapest piece of hardware!
