For some reason my old agp rig out performs this one when I play eq2, and that doesn't sound right to me, though I could be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
 
Well first off it would help to know your old rigs specifications and then tell us what drivers you're using. Then you might want to monitor your tempatures using Speedfan and/or Rivatuner. If you're using ATI use the ATI tempature monitoring tool. As far as I can see system wise you should have no bottlenecks and the 2900XT is a fine card.
