Hard to imagine Condi on a ticket. She's been adamant that she's not running in '08. People can and do change their minds but I'd be surprised to see her on anybody's ticket.

I would think she is as tarnished as Colin Powell or John McCain.

That too... I don't think you'll see many people associated with this administration moving on to higher office. Powell might be able to if he wanted to. He was there from the start and was smart enough to bail when things started heading south.

The Secretary of State is usually visible during the campaigns for President and Congress.
This year Condi literally disappeared.
I am guessing she was kept out of sight in the campaign so as not to tarnish her image.
McCain-Condi in 2008?
Condi Rice Does Conservative Radio, TV Media Blitz
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, whose job entails promoting U.S. aims abroad, is doing her part for Republicans on the home front these days.
In the final stretch before midterm elections that imperil Republican control of Congress, the most popular member of President Bush's Cabinet is selling the administration line on Iran, North Korea and Iraq in a string of interviews with conservative radio and television hosts.
Rice did 12 interviews in 11 days through Friday, an unusually busy schedule when Rice is not traveling.
Ten of the sessions were with conservative hosts, including Cincinnati's Bill Cunningham of WLW-Radio in Cincinnati.
By comparison, Rice did 11 interviews with individual U.S. and foreign media in all of November 2005, most of them during a trip to the Middle East.
any person with half a brain would disagree with bush just on looks alone. nah, j/kOriginally posted by: piasabird
My guess is she had a disagreement with the President on how to approach the international problems like Iraq and Iran. She has always seemed more of an intellectual career diplomat than a politician.
