I'm trying to find some idle/load power consumption figures to help someone see if he needs a new PSU or not from a useless to 9700 Pro upgrade. I remember a lot of Anandtech Video articles had power consumption figures, but that might've only been more recent ones, where the test system was like a AMD X2 4600+, 2GB RAM, with 7800GTX or whatever cards.
So I'm looking more for power consumption of a 2GHZ P4, < 1GB RAM, 1-2 hard disks, 1-2 optical drives, and a card drawing around a 9700 Pro's wattage.
I'm aware of those sites where you can add up watt use, but I'm not sure how good they are. I trust AT's idle/load figures much more, but I can't seem to find them in articles in 2004 or earlier.
