Where's all my memory?

I just added an additional 128megs of RAM to my system, which had 96megs before. Now, the system is only recognizing 160megs. Where did the rest go?

Here's the current setup. Gigabyte motherboard. GA-5AX.
3 banks for PC100
Bank 0 - 64
Bank 1 - 128
Bank 2 - 32
Total of 224

It seems the PC isn't seeing the 64 megs in the first bank (0).

Try putting the largest memory stick in the 0 bank and work to the smallest stick in bank 2. Also make sure that your sticks are all rated the same (CAS3 or CAS2 and PC100). Somtimes systems don't like intermixed RAM based on speeds and/or brands.

Check your manual for install options on memory sizes. It might specify specific sizes and in specific order in bank 0-2.

Fixed it!

After I made the post, I thought, "wait, the 64 is missing, but it sees the other two." I realized maybe I should place it in order of size. So I did what you said, and now it works! Thanks...
