What's alot but not too much?

It varies - I'm in northern NH, and we have almost nothing. Southern NH was pounded this past weekend.

you want a place that snows a lot but doesn't "feel cold", so go to lake tahoe. you can even ski in your shorts late in the season.

When i say Too Much i mean being trapped in your house very often. I wouldn't mind being trapped in the house much...just not all the time A good place for skiing and snowboarding would be nice.

I'm planning very distant future vacation :p

ohio usually gets a couple good storms every year. the snow belt around lake erie sucks, but south of that isn't too bad

eh, that's your opinion. i don't find it depressing at all.
if you're into winter sports like skiing, snowsledding, outdoor iceskating, x-country skiing, downhill sledding, etc., then you definitely enjoy the snow.

and no hurricanes/tornadoes here. :D

The thing that bothers me most about it is the death of all vegitation (well - except most conifers). I like seeing my green grass, my trees, etc, on a daily basis.

Steamboat Springs, CO.

Great mountain (huge)
TONS of snow this season but the roads are always plowed so you don't have a problem getting around. 28 feet of snow this season!
Skiing / boarding is the best here!!!

but then there is Spring and everything comes to life again. have you ever seen true Spring green? it's an awesome color.
and i've been to places that don't have four seasons, while things may stay green with artificial watering a lot of the natural vegetation isn't that nice looking.
