Within Queens, might I suggest Astoria.

Is this where all the Asians live? I've noticed that most Asian people live in Queens (aside from Chinatown), but since I get off on the first stop after the East River, I don't know where they all migrate to.

<< Wow! How many bedrooms? >>

Well...hehe...it's only a 1 bedroom apartment w/ 4 of us in it. But it's a lot less crowded than living in a dorm room. The living room where 2 of our roomates live is about 12x14
and the common room where me and my other roomate live is about 15x24. We both have loft beds (the ceilings are 10ft high) so we have plenty of room for all of our personal stuff (we each have a desk and dresser) along with a couch, table, entertainment center and a few chairs for guests. The thing i really like is that the rooms are all perfectly rectangular. As most people who look for apartments in the city find out, a lot of times the square footage of an apartment isn't all its cracked up to be because there are all these funky angles which prevent you from using the space practically.
