I believe Staples, OfficeMax and OfficeDepot offer free shipping on orders over $50. There are generally weekly deals on desks. The Z-Line glass desks are pretty popular on these forums and can be purchased for about $100. I'm looking to get that one for my apartment.

I've seen L-shaped computer desks at Office Max and Walmart.

The overall quality and higher price are at Office Max. The price and lesser quality is Walmart. It really depends on what you want and what's your budget.

I built my own L-shaped with 2 tables and ready made stacked shelves for a lot less than ready made.
It depends if it gotta be "furniture" or something practical.

I have tons of storage under those tables with stacked plastic drawers.

I got this one from Staples. Pretty solid, pretty big, real cheap.

The Z-line glass one seemed pretty cheaply made to me, and isn't as big.

Matthias, that's the one I tried to buy because I liked it the most. However, Staples shipping is not nearly recommended as they couldn't find my place three times...

That desk is definitely huge (~6.5 feet by 6.5 feet if I remember right)!

Ahh, the L-Shaped Desk how I love ye.

A couple things to keep in mind:
- Check the height of your L-Shaped Desk compared to how low your office Chair will go. When I bought an L-Shaped Desk last year I was surprised to find out that my chair, with fixed arm rests, could not slide under the desk
- Also, personal thing, if you can find an L-Shaped Desk with either no support in the middle of the L, or at least pushed back to the edge, that would be preferrable. When you stretch your legs out while sitting at your computer you'll understand. This is obviously difficult because you need

I'm a freak for Office Supply stores.

I believe it is called a "return," and you can get left and right returns, depending on how you want the desk configured.

I don't like the cheap crap they sell at Staples and Officemax-type locations. It's usually plastic veneer over fiberboard, or some other material that is disinclined to hold screws very tightly.

I suggest you check the phone book for a local place that liquidates office furniture. I got my mahogany w/left return at one for a couple hundred. There's usually quite a lot to choose from, and they will deliver and set up.

I (eventually) got Staples to ship it to one of their stores so I could pick it up (I work during the day, so I couldn't be home to accept delivery). They're a bunch of idiots, but they do have some cheap furniture that doesn't totally suck.

The last poster also had a good point about furniture liquidators or wholesalers.

You could ask a carpenter for an offer. Sometimes the craftsmen are surprisingly cheap.
