Where's a good place to find discontinued boards?

Long story short: my mobo fried and I need a replacement with the same raid controller to increase my chances of recovering my non-backed-up data that's on two drives set in raid 0.

I am having an extremely hard time finding this specific board. I've tried eBay, Pricewatch, Google, Froogle, Bizrate, and a few other shopping search engines.

Are there any good places where you can find old discontinued boards? The socket 478 boards aren't THAT old are they? It seems like only a year or two and they have vanished from the face of the earth.

I have found a couple similar GigaByte boards that were released around the same time and have the raid controller I need, but ideally, I would really like to use the same board.

Thanks!

I can't find that mobo either, but you might not need the identical RAID controller. I used to have an Asus A8N-SLI Premium with a Silicon Image and NVRAID (SATA) controller. I could move my array back and forth between them without any issues or data loss. I actually did it by accident the first time, which is how I found this out. It eventually came in pretty handy because Ghost wouldn't recognize the NVRAID array, but it would recognize the Sil one.

Good luck with that.

Thanks for the reply, that is great news to hear that you have had success moving your array. I am pretty sure I can at least find a board that has the same controller so that should only increase my chances of having a successful swap.

Just thought I'd do a quick query to the forum as a last ditch effort to see if anyone knew of any sites I may be overlooking to find the exact same board.
